ABOUT ME

My name is Red, but you can also call me Ghostie; I don't mind if you use any of the names I listed... I am a self-taught artist who likes to doodle whatever is on my head right now.

I am 19 years old and go by he/him pronouns. I'm mexican, I mostly speak english, but I also speak spanish sometimes.

I draw anything that catches my eye, for the most part, my interests and my OCs. I also do animation, 3D modelling, sculpting, game deveoloping, and a little bit of arts and crafts.

By the way, I am not the kind of person who shares a lot, hopefully I will use this page for a personal blog :,)

WHAT IS CALLIPHOSIS

Calliphosis is a passion project and my very own personal page I will be using for archiving stuff such as my art projects, stories, blog, ect. I have tons TONS of personal projects.

Most custom website makers felt too limited for me, more specifically for bigger projects and that is why I picked up on html/css for the sole purpose of experimentation, picking up something new y'know? No, I am not an expert on coding if I'm being honest… I only have the basic knowledge, either by taking templates, or using the inspect element and modifying it in my own way, that's all. There is a list of resources in the 'Links' button located in the homepage. on the other hand, this site resulted pretty okay, though there are still so many changes I'm planning for the future.

Overall I am kind of skeptical about other social media sites when making OC related content, I do feel like my projects deserve to be their own thing without any pesky restrictions or algorithms. I do not do this for fame or money, otherwise I could be doing something entirely different.

Even so, no matter what types of issues I'm going through, nor how much time I take. This project of mine is not dying.

INTERESTS

My general interests are art (digital and traditional), crafting, horror, surrealism, ghosts, zombies, necromancy, paranormal activity, basically anything involving the macabre, computers, coding, baking and decorating, sleeping, rats, cats, foxes, any shades of red!!, black, orange and yellow. Honestly, I love anything weird and scary, probably also with a mix of cute and dark comedy.

As for what specific shows/games/etc. I may like, these can switch overtime. I may not completely lose interest, but a lot of them are not as frequently mentioned. you can easily tell what i'm currently into by peeking at my socials. or my Strawpage psst...

I listen to a variety of music, although these have their specific genres. My favorite music artists include Circus of Dead Squirrels, Dog Fashion Disco, Scary Bitches, Creature Feature, Andrew W.K., Bondage Fairies, Spectrum-X, Aurelio Voltaire, Cocteau Twins, Siouxie And The Banshees, Type O Negative, BABYMETAL, Etc.

This one mostly applies to my stuff, since I tend to draw a lot of fanart of stuff I like and people get caught up by it.. only if you're 15 or below, do not DM me if your intention is to try to befriend me. My humor can be somewhat crude and not appropiate for anyone of that age range.

I HAVE SOCIAL ANXIETY. Sudden DMs scare me a little.. So if you want to speak to me about something, please tell me about the matter instead of simply leaving a short vague message, because otherwise I might not reply.

I am open for conversations, my DMs are always open. HOWEVER, that does not mean i'm automatically your friend. Please don't try to rush things as I tend to get overwhelmed. The same applies for venting, I am a stranger at the end of the day.

This site is made to be personal, therefore it contain a few darker themes that may not be for anyone lurking here. I believe fiction can be used as a safe way for people to explore dark themes in terms of storytelling. This does not mean I condone nor encourage such topics to be acted upon. If the topics potrayed make you uncomfortable then this site is clearly not for you.

With that being said, do not slap a label on me. I will do whatever I like and that isn't exclusive to one label. So unless there is any actual harm involved, I don't care about what people like and I won't be policing such, even if it isn't of my appeal. I will block and move on for whatever reason I decide.
